Christmas Wishes

Hi Everyone

I had a fun day today. First I had the Women’s Bible Study Class today and then we went out for lunch. We ended up at Cracker Barrel. Oh my, it was sooo good. I had this new item – it was fish cooked in a pecan crust thingy. Oh Wow – my mouth waters just thinking about it. It was really delicious.

I think fall is finally here. It’s getting cold at night and warming up in the day but not getting hot anymore. The leaves are turning and falling off the trees. I love the colors of fall – especially the trees, but I hate to see summer leave. I get cold really easy – so I don’t like cold weather. Once I get cold, it takes forever to get warm – not looking forward to the cold weather. I love Christmas though and that’s what kind of card I have today. If any of you are Stampin’ Up Demonstrators. This is my case of the the card in Stampin Success (a magazine for Stampin’ Up Demonstrators only) page 27.

Just For You and I can’t Thank You Enough

Hi Everyone

I have some Stampin’ Up specials for you – woo hoo

Undefined Stamp Carving Kit

During Convention 2013, Stampin’ Up! unveiled an exciting new product called the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit.

That’s right – a stamp carving kit!  It’s “undefined” because you get to carve what YOU want on your stamp or stamps!  You can express your personality, interests, thoughts, and feelings by carving your own stamps.  You’ll really get a “look what I made!” sense of satisfaction!

Here’s a great little video to show you just how easy it is to carve your own stamps:

Here is what is included in the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit, item # 133402, $19.95:

Undefined carving kit

– 2 carving tools, 3″ x 4″ rubber, 3″ x 4″ foam, 4 wood blocks (various sizes), Island Indigo Stampin’ Write Marker, 3 postcards, instructions, and stamp image templates (in case you can’t think of anything on your own!)

We know you’ll have lots of ideas for making your own special stamps, so we highly recommend you purchase a Undefined Refill Kit at the same time!  It is is item # 134808 and costs $9.95.  Here’s what is included:

Undefined refill kit

– 3″ x 4″ rubber, 3″ x 4″ foam, 4 wood blocks (various sizes), and instructions

If you prefer Clear-Mount stamps or think you might want to carve a bigger stamp than the wood blocks provided, you can purchase our Clear-Mount Cling Foam (item # 124236, $10.95).

Need some ideas of what you can carve?  How about these suggestions:

  • a catch phrase or word you or your family uses all the time
  • a family logo
  • the name of your favorite vacation spot
  • a favorite food or drink
  • a team name or logo
  • your name or a family member’s name or initials
  • high school or college mascot or emblem
  • a stamp representing a favorite activity
  • a blog logo
  • a favorite animal
  • a speech bubble
  • a favorite image from a stamp set that is no longer available
  • a punctuation mark (like a @, !, &, or ?)
  • an image from My Digital Studio
  • a favorite cartoon character
  • a superhero logo
  • a stamp to use for a specific party theme
  • a video game character or logo
  • social media buttons (Like button, Pinterest button, etc.)
  • religious emblems
  • any image you’ve always wanted a stamp of that you haven’t been able to find!

You can see some actual carved images and projects created with them on Stampin’ Up!’s Pinterest page for the Undefined Kit by clicking here.

Hi Everyone

Woo hoo, my card challenge from yesterday uploaded correctly. I am really excited about that. If you missed my very first card challenge you can see it here. It is card #18. I am sooo excited about it and I didn’t have any trouble at all uploading it.

With that being said. I am doing my 2nd challenge today. Now I understand when people say this sketch was tricky, or I had to really think about this one or this one took several tries but I finally came up with a card I’m happy with. Well, this being my 2nd card challenge – guess what? I found this one to be a challenge for me trying to come up with papers that I thought would go together and the embellishments. On the other hand, I am finding challenges to be fun. I have found another one for tomorrow. Woo hoo.

Ok, today’s challenge is from Freshly Made Sketches #95. This is the sketch FMS95:

Oh, Hello

Hi Everyone

How are you today? I am so thankful that I do not live in Oklahoma City. I have been praying for them ever since I heard about the tornado this morning. My heart goes out to all of them. I am really in shock over what happened. Wandering around in a daze even though I do not have any family there and I do not know anyone that lives there. I can not comprehend what everyone is going through and feeling. It’s just so devastating. My prayers go out to them.

I have a fun card for you today. Love the flowers. I have put some flowers out in the yard that a neighbor has given me. I don’t know anything about flowers. Now – tomato plants – I can grow. I love home grown tomatoes – love to pick them off the vine and eat them. mmmm yummy  Not so sure about flowers. We will see how they turn out. Maybe I do have a green thumb for flowers.

Thank You

Hi Everyone

Did everyone have a good weekend and Mother’s Day. Most of my weekend was spent in bed – ugh – another migraine.  I did have a surprise this weekend. My sister sent me some flowers. That was a very nice surprise. I did manage to get up long enough to make her a gift. I made a card using one of the sneak peek stamp sets and matching embossing folder – Wildflower Meadow. Very pretty card if I say so myself.

Hope you enjoy.

Watermark Portrait-001

I also made her a gift box with 5 cards and matching envelopes. The cards were made using Serene Silhouettes and each one of the Feel Goods sayings. Each card is in a different color. I used the 2013-2014 In colors for the cards.

For You

Hi Everyone

OMG!!! I think Spring just might be here. Two days in a row – beautiful weather – as long as you don’t get in the car – hot in the car. We will see if Spring is here to stay this time. Sure hope so. 🙂

I’m excited about today’s card. As you know’ Stampin’ Up Demonstrators get to order a few items before catalogs go live. Well today’s card is a sneak peek of some of the new products.  Also, we are not allowed to show you the new products until the catalog goes live so there will be pictures of items missing when you go through the supply list.          ALERT!        ALERT!     ALERT!            The yellow Baker’s Twine – is not yellow Baker’s Twine. You see -.- I took white Baker’s Twine and sprayed it with Daffodil Delight spray. How awesome is that? I got just the color I wanted – perfect match. 🙂

Springtime is for blooms and blossoms and pretty things–so our new Bloomin’ Bouquet project kit is arriving just in time! Create a beautiful bouquet of flowers for someone special: a friend, a teacher, or your mom. All you need is adhesive!

Mother’s Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There’s no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. Now for today’s card: I like all the layers on this card. The splattered dots really make this card pop. I used the Aqua Painter and put some ink in the top of an ink pad. Filled the Aqua Painter with water – dipped it in the ink and spattered it on the card. Really easy and really stands out. The two little flags that extend under the pinwheel. I used the Clear Mount Block A and stamped it on the stamp pad and stamped it onto the paper.

Woo hoo. weekend is here. I would have liked today better if I did not have to get up at 6:30 this morning. My hubby had to work today and my son had National Guard duty today. Of course, mom has to get up and get hubby off to work and then take son to the National Guard Armory that is an hour away. Oh what a fun way to start a weekend. With all that done, I get to start the weekend. Going to play in my craft room most of the day since I am here by myself and no interruptions. Woo hoo.  Today’s card is what you call a “brick wall” technique. I am really please how it came out.

Opps, almost forgot – one more thing……

The Treasure Hunt.

LNS 2013 Spring Treasure Hunt – LNS Web Ring

I’m participating in the LNS 2013 Spring Treasure Hunt!  How can you play?
At the end of this blog post is a list of all the blogs participating.  These blogs will have the following picture on their blog:
2013-spring-sutreasurehuntcluespring_2013
They will also have a clue on their blog having to do with a Stampin’ Up! product.
For instance – MY CLUE IS GLITTER.  This Stampin’ Up! product number’s are: Dazzling Diamonds- 102023, Champagne Glass Glitter -120997, and Silver Glass Glitter -120995 – some fabulous bling for your cards, scrapbook pages, or other creative project.

You will need to make note of what the clue is and whose blog it is on.  So for my entry you’d have:
GATHER YOUR CLUES & ENTER TO WIN!
#1 Visit each blog!
Since you are stopping by these blogs, be sure to leave a nice comment about their blog, artwork, or ideas.  I hope you have a chance to look at some of my blog entries/pages.  Of course, I’d love for you to subscribe to my blog!
Be sure to note the address or bookmark it or PIN IT! so you can revisit to see
more amazing projects or use some for inspiration.
Look closely at the cards! You can easily miss details by dismissing items will color combinations outside your comfort zone or images you don’t love love love. Stop! Even the most simple projects can get your creative juices flowing. Believe it! TRUTH
Sometimes poor quality images or lighting stop me but then I see something tote-fab that I didn’t notice at first glance. This happens to me often. We tend to forget each and every project can be used as a map or layout. You can use those colors together or ribbon like that or stamping technique on your next creation!
I slowly figured out how to swap out items and/or images I do not own and produce something that may or may not be similar.
Think about it next time.
#2 Look for the yellow treasure box
#3 Note the clue and whose blog you are on! or just Pin it to a Late Night Stampers Treasure Hunt Board on Pintrest if your into that.
#4 Collect FIFTY clues and email me your results to
STAMPINGBETTY AT HOTMAIL DOT COM
List each clue AND where you found it and remember to include your own name and address and website/blog/fb page/twitter whatever you’re into or nothing if you’re laying low.
