BLOOMIN’ BOUQUET PROJECT KIT

Springtime is for blooms and blossoms and pretty things–so our new Bloomin’ Bouquet project kit is arriving just in time! Create a beautiful bouquet of flowers for someone special: a friend, a teacher, or your mom. All you need is adhesive!

Mother’s Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There’s no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.

As if that weren’t enough, the kit contains a “baker’s dozen”! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn’t normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you’d like to give a little “thank you” to-and introduce them to Stampin’ Up!

Now for today’s card: I like all the layers on this card. The splattered dots really make this card pop. I used the Aqua Painter and put some ink in the top of an ink pad. Filled the Aqua Painter with water – dipped it in the ink and spattered it on the card. Really easy and really stands out. The two little flags that extend under the pinwheel. I used the Clear Mount Block A and stamped it on the stamp pad and stamped it onto the paper.

OH NO NO NO!!! I just noticed that one of the stamp sets that I used for today’s  card (Patterned Party) is on the retirement list. This is a new set for me. 😦 I just love the balloons. Not only that – the Jewelry tag punch is retiring.  Awwww, I have had my eye on that punch for several years and I just got around to buying it. I have always wanted the Jewelry Tag punch and finally got it. Now they are retiring it. 😦

Ok, One more thing……

The Treasure Hunt.

LNS 2013 Spring Treasure Hunt – LNS Web Ring

I’m participating in the LNS 2013 Spring Treasure Hunt!  How can you play?
At the end of this blog post is a list of all the blogs participating.  These blogs will have the following picture on their blog:
2013-spring-sutreasurehuntcluespring_2013
They will also have a clue on their blog having to do with a Stampin’ Up! product.
For instance – MY CLUE IS GLITTER.  This Stampin’ Up! product number’s are: Dazzling Diamonds- 102023, Champagne Glass Glitter -120997, and Silver Glass Glitter -120995 – some fabulous bling for your cards, scrapbook pages, or other creative project.

You will need to make note of what the clue is and whose blog it is on.  So for my entry you’d have:
GATHER YOUR CLUES & ENTER TO WIN!
#1 Visit each blog!
Since you are stopping by these blogs, be sure to leave a nice comment about their blog, artwork, or ideas.  I hope you have a chance to look at some of my blog entries/pages.  Of course, I’d love for you to subscribe to my blog!
Be sure to note the address or bookmark it or PIN IT! so you can revisit to see
more amazing projects or use some for inspiration.
Look closely at the cards! You can easily miss details by dismissing items will color combinations outside your comfort zone or images you don’t love love love. Stop! Even the most simple projects can get your creative juices flowing. Believe it! TRUTH
Sometimes poor quality images or lighting stop me but then I see something tote-fab that I didn’t notice at first glance. This happens to me often. We tend to forget each and every project can be used as a map or layout. You can use those colors together or ribbon like that or stamping technique on your next creation!
I slowly figured out how to swap out items and/or images I do not own and produce something that may or may not be similar.
Think about it next time.
#2 Look for the yellow treasure box
#3 Note the clue and whose blog you are on! or just Pin it to a Late Night Stampers Treasure Hunt Board on Pintrest if your into that.
#4 Collect FIFTY clues and email me your results to
STAMPINGBETTY AT HOTMAIL DOT COM
List each clue AND where you found it and remember to include your own name and address and website/blog/fb page/twitter whatever you’re into or nothing if you’re laying low.

Today’s card has two colors on it that are retiring. If you haven’t guessed it already (since the last few posts have featured these two colors), they are Regal Rose and Certainly Celery. They are not the dominate colors this time like they have been on the last few cards. None the less, they are on this card. Another retiring item on this card is the Stamp Set – “From My Heart”. It is soon to be gone – never to be seen again.

Thinking of You

Hi Everyone

The weather has a lot to be desired this time of year. One day it’s really really cold and windy and the next you would think it was Spring. Then it would be really really cold again. That’s how its been here. Been in the 60’s last couple days, but its been raining, so it still feels cold. What a bummer.

Today’s card is green. Isn’t that what Spring is supposed to look like? Green?  I used Certainly Celery and Regal Rose – two of the colors that are being discontinued – if you still want to get these colors, send me an email: cynthia.hawkins999@gmail.com. They are only available while supplies last. This card was really fun. I did sneak some of the This and That Washi Tape onto the card, if you can see it, the gray stripes under the heart. That is one of our new products that will be available June 1. Woo Hoo. Lots of new and exciting toys coming out. Just like a kid in a candy store.

For You

Hi Everyone

Sorry I have been AWOL the last couple of days. Had a migraine that just would not quit. Please accept my apologies. But hey, now I’m back.

I love today’s card. It has one of my favorite stamp sets (Secret Garden) and two of my favorite punches (Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly). I used the bleaching technique on the flowers and the butterflies. The butterflies did not come out as well as I had hoped, they are darker than what I was looking for, maybe I should not have used the Crystal Effects on them. I love how the flowers came out – beautiful.

Hello

Big Hello Everyone

Friday is here. Don’t you just love Friday’s – the start of the weekend. You get to sleep in tomorrow – no alarm clock. Have a leisurely breakfast at home. No mad dashes out the door. Woo Hoo. Gotta love Friday’s. Still waiting on Spring to get here and stay. Temperatures for this weekend are in the 50’s. I’m luckier than some. Some people are still getting snow, like Frenchie. I really feel for them. I just moved here almost 2 years ago from South Dakota, so I know what it’s like to get snow in April and even in May. Brrrr. I don’t miss the weather there at all.

Today’s card is similar to yesterday’s card as I used the same card stock (Regal Rose) and stamp set (Secret Garden). On this card you don’t see the Whisper White card stock because I sprayed it with Regal Rose Spray. So it kinda looks like a lighter pink.

I’m sure you have noticed that I have used sprays (like today – Regal Rose Spray) on my cards. What this spray is – you take 70% rubbing alcohol and fill your spray bottle up about 3/4 full then you add your colored reinker – shake and then spray on your card. You can add the shimmer paint to the colored alcohol to make it shimmer or you can make just shimmer spray.  Duh – it finally occurred to me that you might not know what the spray was. So now you have it. 🙂

I’m soooo excited. I finally got my new camera working and now have pictures.   Woot Woot   It took me two days to get the camera working. You know it helps if you put the battery in right side up.   Hahaha   Well not everyone is perfect and someone has to mess up sometime. Hahaha
Today’s card, reminds me of spring and summer with flowers. The colors are cheerful. Makes me want to go outside and have a picnic and pick some flowers. Beautiful card.

I am still unable to get my cards uploaded. The camera I bought for some reason will not charge – so today it is going back to the store. Will get another one and hopefully it will work. As soon as I get the camera exchanged and enough juice in it to take a picture. I will add it to my post.

I am sooooo excited for my friend Justin. He got invited to be a Display Stamper at the 2013 Stampin’ Up Convention. How cool is that? BIG CONGRATULATIONS – JUSTIN.

Justin also made my day today. He made a card just for me. Now that’s really really cool. You can see the card here. It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you, Justin. Here is his blog address  in case you would also like to follow him  http://jkcards.wordpress.com/     He does beautiful work, umm make that awsome work for a guy. hahaha

So Sorry

Hi Everyone

Not having a good day. I can’t get any of my pictures to upload onto my computer. I use my cell phone to take the pictures and then I email them to myself. For some reason today they will not send. My phone is saying they mail is sent, but it is not showing up in my email. Wonder if cyber space is eating them. I have been trying to get my pictures online for most of the day. I can’t even get them to upload into Evernote. I can see the pictures in Evernote on my phone, but when I open Evernote on my computer – they are not there. 😦 What’s a girl to do? I just bought a digital camera today and it is charging – maybe I will have better luck with it. 🙂 Hopefully I will have this problem fixed by tomorrow.

Sorry no card for you today. 😦

Don’t forget about the discontinued colors and the new colors we are getting. Be sure to get the ones you want that are leaving. Only available while supplies last.

Opps, almost forgot – one more thing……

Entries will be check and included in the drawing for the grand prize!
MAY 12TH is the deadline, at midnight.
Winner announced May FIFTEEN on all blogs in the game!
You have from March 1st until May 12th at Midnight PST to collect the clues.  Contest participants who send in their entries by this time will be entered into a drawing for $150 of Stampin’ Up! product.
Ready, set,….go hunting!

Kindness Matters

Hi Everyone

Brrr, it sure was cold yesterday. Had to run the heater. My hubby likes it cool, so when he came home from work he opened all the curtains and a few windows. Of course I went behind him and closed them all. There seems to be no in-between for us. If I am comfortable he is sweating and if he is comfortable I am freezing. Figure that one out.

Well on to today’s card. I cased this card from Tami White. This is an absolutely gorgeous card To see her video click here.  The card is just beautiful. Thank you, Tami for sharing this with us. I used a retiring color on my card – Regal Rose. You will probably see a lot of this color used as I am trying to use up my supply before the new colors come out.

Thank You

Hello Everyone:

Yuck, the weatherman finally got it right. It rained yesterday and the temperature dropped down in the 50’s for the high. Brrr. It felt sooo cold after the few warm and nice, warm and nice, warm and nice umm warm and nicedays that we had. Glad I didn’t have to go anywhere in that wet cold rain. 🙂

Today’s card turned out really good. I am really impressed that it turned out so well. The base is Certainly Celery – one of the colors that’s going to be discontinued – and the other main color is Regal Rose – also being discontinued. They look really nice together. I used this silver tape – I don’t remember what it’s called. You get it in the home maintenance section of the store. It’s really shinny – looks like foil but doesn’t crinkle as easily. Actually if you peel the backing off the tape you have to be really careful because it is really sticky. Where you lay it the first time is it – no repositioning it. I didn’t peel the backing off and I just used snail on the back to attach to the card except around the Regal Rose flowers – the silver frame. I peeled the backing off the tape and taped the frame. Even the flowers are made with this tape. I embellished it, punched it, I even stamped the greeting on it, and ran it through the Big Shot with a framelit.

Guess you are wondering what this card and tape looks like. Well here it is……. TA DA………I hope you like it as much as I do.

Woo Hoo…..

I am soooo excited about this. WooHoo. WooHoo. I just saw this video on Stampin’ Up!’s YouTube channel and had to share it with you.  It’s a sneak peek at the new packaging for wood mount sets – starting May 31.  I am beside myself with excitement over this storage solution.  It is perfect, and I can’t wait to get my hands on these cases!

While I still collect many wood mount sets, I’ve started buying a lot of clear mounts because they are easier to store and take up less space.  This new packaging will definitely make my clear mount / wood mount decision much more difficult when I am selecting sets.

Fun Time…..

Still no rain. Wonder if the weatherman went on vacation – hehe. I went for a walk around the block a couple of times. It was sooo nice to get outside and not be cold. Just feel the sunshine on your skin – woot woot. Consequently, I didn’t spend much time doing crafts. Guess I will make up for it when it rains. – hahaha

Today’s card reminds me of spring with butterflies and flowers on it. The flowers are a new technique. You take glue and rub it on kinda thick on a window sheet then you add a drop or two of your colors and then smear them around in the glue being careful not to mix the colors together. (Another words don’t mix the colors so that you only have one color – unless, of course, that is what you want). Then you pace a piece of tissue paper on it; smoothing so there are no air bubbles; and let it dry.  I let mine set for 24 hours before I peeled the window sheet off. Peel off the window sheet – then you create. You can cut it, punch it, not sure if you can tear it – haven’t tried that.

Woot Woot, we never got rain yesterday. This is one time I’m glad the weatherman is wrong. It is finally starting to feel like Spring. Yesterday I had my Bible Study at church then all the ladies went out to eat. We had Culver’s. I just love their custard. I used to work at Culver’s a few years back. Man did I get hooked on their custard. Now I don’t care for ice cream :(. It was fun getting out of the house.

Today’s card reminds me of Spring. Such a vibrant color. The base of the card is Calypso coral. I only used two colors or ink on this card. One was Calypso Coral and the other was Black. Although, I did emboss the birds on the branches. I added a ribbon with a bow across the bottom which made the card pop.

The weather yesterday was beautiful. Got into the low 70’s – not hot and not cold. Seemed to be just right as Goldilocks would say – hehe. It is supposed to raid all week – but no rain yet. Woo Hoo. I noticed yesterday that I forgot to put the products that I used to make the card. I will add them today, so if you look at yesterday’s post it will be there. Sorry guys.

Today’s card is a birthday card. I used Old Olive for the base. I then layered with Calypso Coral –  one of the new colors (although it is an in color now) . The stripped card stock came from My Digital Studio, it is calypso coral designer series paper. The doilie is the Teal Lace Doilie that I sponged with Old Olive ink. I used Calypso Coral Washi Tape from the This and That bundle. The banner I used Calypso Coral and dotted it with Old Olive using the marker to make the two tone effect.

Hurry – Today is the last day      (Just send me an email – cynthia.hawkins999@gmail.com)

Woo Hoo. Yesterday was beautiful. I think it got up to 70 degrees.  How awsome is that? Finally a day of warm weather although short lived – by the end of the week the temperatures are back down in the 50’s again :(.

I got the idea for this card from Justin Krieger. You can see his card here or click on my card:

I faithfully follow Justin. He does beautiful work is an such an inspiration.

The base for this  card is on Old Olive. I stamped it with butterflies and some foliage. The sentiment is from Language of Friendship. I really like the strip where I used the Delicate Details Lace Tape to make the background for the sentiment. I think the card came out very well. I am pleased with it.

Wow, yesterday went fast. Today’s card I made to welcome my new next door neighbor to the neighborhood in hopes of meeting the lady of the house so we could be friends. I’m always looking for new friends. Well, low and behold, there is no lady of the house. The gentleman that lives there is single – what a surprise that was. I did give him the card and the cookies I made and welcomed him to the neighborhood. Maybe we can still be friends. Have any of you had this happen to you? I think this is the first time I have done this and there not be a lady of the house.

Woo hoo. weekend is here. I would have liked today better if I did not have to get up at 6:30 this morning. My hubby had to work today and my son had National Guard duty today. Of course, mom has to get up and get hubby off to work and then take son to the National Guard Armory that is an hour away. Oh what a fun way to start a weekend. With all that done, I get to start the weekend. Going to play in my craft room most of the day since I am here by myself and no interruptions. Woo hoo.  Today’s card is what you call a “brick wall” technique. I am really please how it came out.

Opps, almost forgot – one more thing……

Today I have a birthday card for you. They seem to be my favorite kind of card to make. I mean everyone can use birthday cards – right?
